Hawksmoor Investment Management is a privately owned business, so has no ties to a bank or any other financial institution. Our experienced and well qualified teams of investment professionals are focused solely on providing you with the best service and consistently good performance.
Our investment approach is based on a clear understanding that behind every investment portfolio there is a living breathing client with their own unique needs and values. This individual approach, together with our in-depth knowledge of investment markets, is key to our success.
Ultimately, the over-riding objective of investment is to increase value over time after the impact of inflation and taxes. We use benchmarks to measure our performance but not to construct investment solutions – we aim for long term outperformance rather than trying to beat obscure benchmarks over short time periods. Our investment managers are supported by a disciplined investment process designed by our in-house strategy and research team with access to extensive external research.

We are looking for sponsors
The Talisker Whiskey Atlantic Challenge is a widely known annual event and teams from the UK that enter often get media coverage almost certainly in local press, and if there is anything unique or widely significant about the team, then national press and media will take note.
With up to 30 teams from all over the world entering and starting the race, the launch party in La Gomera is sure to bring a large number of people together, the boats and equipment will certainly be the centre of attention. This does present a huge opportunity for exposure and marketing especially if a sponsor were to get their company name/logo on the boat, otherwise sponsoring equipment will also be a topic of conversation. The same can be said for the level of exposure when arriving in Antigua.
The team website and section on the official challenge website will serve as online exposure and will allow for links to sponsors websites to be included, this way we can help increase traffic to a sponsor’s domain. There is a Facebook and Twitter account for Fresh Dental Challenge Atlantic, both of which is getting a number of followers and with posts and tweets that get multiple likes, the exposure from this is very far reaching. Both members of the team are dentists, and have a number of friends and associates in the same field, which is one that is relatively high earning, and certainly a lucrative audience to market to. In social media they are very active members of online communities that have thousands of members, who are dentists, and doctors, and are well known amongst that audience.
Fresh Dental Healthcare is one of a group of four dental practices, and Justin Marney is the co-owner of all of them. Combined they have a patient list of well over 30,000 people all of whom attend regularly and are based all over Devon and some nationally. Posters, fliers and other information about the event will be bannered in all the practices, not least to get on site donations, but to also serve and exposure for our sponsors.
Community events will be organised in the months leading up to this race, a boat christening party, a charity fund raiser, a stand at the nationally known Dartmouth Royal Regatta, a launch party and a leaving party. All of which will bring the local communities together, and gain attention from local press (hopefully national press too) and provide ample opportunity for the public to see the sponsors who are supporting this event. Considering all of this is in aid of a local charity with a national reach, it will be a very positive light to shine on any sponsor.
As this event and its lead up will have multiple components and possible canvases, the following is a list of items that can be sponsored.
- Title sponsor package (the biggest/main sponsor name that is on every item surrounding the event) – £10,000 – ONLY 1 OF THESE IS AVAILABLE
– The £1/mile club will guarantee your company name on every item (no guarantee on the size, but will be reasonable and open to discussion)
- Boat – Title £6000 – Standard £4000
- Posters – Title £1000 – Standard £500
- Clothing – Title £750 – Standard (100cm2) £300
- Each Event (Christening, all fund raisers, launch) £1500
- Website (sponsor logo as a link to own website on a rolling banner) £50
In addition to the above fund raising prices, this venture will require equipment and support to get to the start line, and through to the end of the race. Any item or service that can be offered to aid in the challenge or help with fund raising (e.g. donations for a charity auction) would be greatly appreciated and will get a verbal mention and written mention in the event promotional material.
The opportunity to get on board with this venture is easy to see, but if you take another look at the team name, and logo, it is designed to be adaptable. The title is Fresh Dental Challenge, and the sub-title is Atlantic, in the future, Fresh Dental Challenge will have another sub-title for another extreme challenge, again for charity, again another sponsorship opportunity. Being the first to support Fresh Dental Challenge will mean you get first approach in subsequent challenges.
